Yael Weiss and the Weiss-Kaplan-Stumpf Trio will be presenting two All-Beethoven concerts this Fall, just a few weeks before beginning their newest project: a recording of the complete set of Beethoven piano trios. The concert programs include Beethoven's humorous Variations Op. 44, his early trio in G major Op. 1 No. 2 and one of the greatest masterpieces of the piano trio repertoire, the Op. 97 "Archduke” Trio.

As part of Yael's complete cycle of Beethoven's piano sonatas, a special residency this winter at Lynn University will offer a recital juxtaposing Beethoven's works with new compositions, including the world premiere of Paul Chihara's "Rag 109”, commissioned by Yael. The residency will also comprise piano masterclasses and a lecture on the unique challenges presented in Beethoven's scores.
